huamo, also known as "noodle flower", is a traditional folk art in northern china. its raw materials are mainly white noodles, with beans, dates, peppers and other auxiliary materials. craftsmen use cutting, kneading, pinching, pulling and other techniques to create lifelike characters, birds and beasts, flowers and fruits. huamo has been listed as china's second group of national intangible cultural heritage.(photo by zeng jia)
